The film is the remarkable and tragic story of Wassyl Slipak, a talented opera singer from L’viv whose talent brought him to France, where he achieved success as an opera singer for 19 years.

Wassyl actively participated in the Revolution of Dignity, leading rallies in France. But he felt he needed to do more for his beloved homeland. Although he did more than enough as an artist, Wassyl volunteered to help Ukraine. Wassyl decided to leave and join the volunteer Ukrainian defense forces when war came to his homeland. Tragically, he was killed in combat action by a sniper.

This is the only pre-release screening of the documentary in Ohio! Release date is January 2018 in Ukraine.
