Vyshyvanka Day

May 18, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

“Vyshyvanka” means “something that is embroidered,” but specifically the traditional hand-crafted shirts, blouses, and dresses Ukrainians have proudly worn for millenia.

May 18th is Vyshyvanka Day, a day for Ukrainians to wear their embroidered blouses and shirts to show their Ukrainian identity no matter where in the world they happen to be.

We wanted to celebrate the day with a happy hour, and we wanted a potluck too, so we made it both! So bring your own beverages, and a dish to share.

Children are welcome! We will have a few fun activities for all ages.

And check out our online SILENT AUCTION! Auction will close 7pm at the event, winners will be announced at that time.

We can’t wait to see you and your vyshyvanky! Come celebrate our culture with us, and help us raise some money to help Ukraine in its fight for freedom!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Vyshyvanka Day with us! We were able to raise $2000!!!
Special thank you to Lesya Vishnevskaya and Regina Pekurovskaya for their time and effort into making this event a success.
До перемоги!
We are also sharing with you a very special flag, all the way from Kremenets Ukraine, from Віктор Панфілов signed by defenders thanking us for our work. Our hearts are melting. We support you to victory!!! 💪🇺🇦🙌💙💛
Please share your photos and videos of the event with us in comments below. 💙💛
Thanks to High Bank Distillery and Benjamyn Greig for their donation in support of our fundraising efforts for Ukraine!
